Our story
A small farm built on care, transparency, and good soil.
Hames & Axle Farm is a homestead operation raising registered Nigerian Dwarf goats — a few at a time, on purpose. We believe how an animal is raised matters as much as the animal itself.

We started Hames & Axle with one rule: never raise more animals than we could raise well. That rule still runs everything.
Our herd is small by design. Every kid is bottle-raised, every doe is known by name, and every buck has a personality file that probably runs longer than this paragraph. We test annually for CAE, CL and Johne's, register with ADGA, and send every goat home with the paperwork to prove it.
We're proud signatories of the Sustainability Pledge — a commitment to land stewardship, ethical breeding, and full transparency with the families who trust us with their first goat.
What we stand for.
Transparency
Open records, open barns, open conversation. You see what we see.
Stewardship
Rotational grazing, native pasture, zero shortcuts on land or animal welfare.
Relationship
Selling a goat is the beginning of a friendship, not the end of a transaction.
